Nelisiwe Mmape, has more than 12 years of experience in the film and television industry, having worked both in front and behind the camera.

Behind the camera lens she honed her leadership skills as a news editor for a community television station, Soweto TV, where she led a team of reporters as well as a technical crew. She also worked as executive producer for current affairs and it was at Soweto TV that she got her first stint as a news anchor.

From interviews on hard-hitting news, spirituality, and the arts, her experience has given her all the skills and knowledge to be confident to communicate in front of any audience or guests.

Her motivational talks to matriculants in the years 2014/15 centered around beating the odds despite where you come from. As a Soweto-born and raised young woman,
she has a burning desire to inspire young girls from all townships, to believe that their dreams are valid and that they should strive to make them a reality, in an effort to bring about change in their own communities and families.

With an unstoppable spirit, Neli believes that humility makes people better thinkers, learners, and doers. as she continues to pave her way to the top in the broadcast space, she remains humble, ready to be taught, and to do better with every opportunity she grabs.
